Educational content, not professional advice

Everything on Happy Parents Today (happyparentstoday.com) is shared for general informational and educational purposes only. The content reflects my personal experience as a parent, my own reading of pediatric and child-development research, and my opinions. It is not medical advice, psychological advice, child development assessment, financial advice, or legal advice.

Nothing on this site replaces the guidance of a qualified professional who knows you and your child. Always consult your pediatrician, family doctor, licensed therapist, registered dietitian, certified financial planner, or other relevant expert for anything specific to your family.

Parenting and child health

If you read something here that relates to your child's health, sleep, feeding, development, behavior, or safety — please discuss it with your pediatrician before changing anything. This is especially important if your child:

Is a newborn or under 12 weeks old.

Has a chronic medical condition, disability, or developmental difference.

Was born premature.

Has feeding, sleep, or breathing concerns flagged by a professional.

Is on any medication or undergoing treatment.

Safe sleep specifically

Some posts discuss baby sleep and sleep coaching. Please follow current safe sleep guidelines from your country's pediatric authority (e.g., the American Academy of Pediatrics in the US, NHS in the UK). The general consensus until age 1: babies sleep on their back, on a firm flat surface, in nothing but a fitted sheet and a wearable blanket or sleep sack. No loose blankets, pillows, bumpers, or stuffed animals in the sleep space. If you're unsure about your specific situation, ask your pediatrician.

Mental health and postpartum

Parenting articles on this site sometimes touch on mental health, burnout, postpartum mood, and family stress. They are not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. If you are experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, scary intrusive thoughts, or any mental health crisis, please contact your doctor, a licensed mental health professional, or a crisis support line in your country. You deserve real support.

Money and budgeting

Some posts discuss family budgeting and money. These reflect general principles and my personal experience — they are not personalized financial advice. Your family's situation, income, debts, and goals require advice from a qualified financial professional.

No professional relationship

Reading the blog, subscribing to the newsletter, contacting me, or interacting with me on social media does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, consultant-client, or any other professional relationship between us.

Results disclaimer

Any approaches, routines, or strategies described on this blog reflect what has worked for me, other families I know, or what the research suggests. They are not guarantees. Children are individuals — what works for one family may not work for yours, and that is not a failure on anyone's part.

Affiliate disclosure

Some posts may contain affiliate links to products, services, or books. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only link to things I genuinely use or believe could be helpful. These commissions help keep the blog free and ad-supported.

Third-party links and quoted research

This site links to third-party websites, studies, and resources. I am not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites. When I summarize research, I do my best to represent it faithfully, but for full accuracy please read the original source.

Errors and updates

Parenting research evolves. Guidelines change. I make every effort to keep articles accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee everything is current at the moment you read it. If you spot something outdated or wrong, please contact me — I'll review and update.
